PROMOTING YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN BUDDHIST ACTIVITIES IN CHOKCHAI DISTRICT NAKHONRATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to study the level of promotion of participation in Buddhist activities 2) to study the relationship between the principles of participation in creating ethics in schools and their relationship with the promotion of participation in Buddhist activities 3) Present guidelines for promoting participation in Buddhist activities. The research method is a combined method. Quantitative research used questionnaires. The reliability was 0.985 from a sample of 311 youths. Data were analyzed using statistics, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and analysis using the peer-to-peer method of correlation coefficient. ridge and qualitative research Interviews with 10 key informants or people were analyzed descriptively.

The research results found that 1. Promoting participation in Buddhist activities among youth in Chok Chai District Nakhon Ratchasima Province At a high level ( =3.60, S.D.=0.74) 2. The principles of participation in creating ethics in schools, overall, have a positive relationship with promoting youth participation in Buddhist activities. Overall, they are at a moderate level (R=0.554**). Therefore, the hypothesis of research. 3. Guidelines for promoting participation in Buddhist activities among youth in Chok Chai District Nakhon Ratchasima Province found that the principles of participation in promoting ethics in schools are effective in promoting participation in Buddhist activities of youth in Chokchai District even more in all 3 aspects as follows. 1) The performance of Buddhist duties includes promoting good deeds following the example of well-behaved people who are praised. Encourage students to learn how to perform their Buddhist duties. 2) Mental management and intellectual development, including promoting schools to organize monthly alms giving activities.
