THE PEOPLE’S DECISION TOWARDS THE ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT OF BANG TORAT SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, MUEANG DISTRICT, SAMUT SAKHON PROVINCE

Abstract

The people's decision on the election of the Subdistrict Administrative Organization president is a problem that creates challenges and is worth paying attention to because of various factors that affect the people's decision in the election. That comes from personal qualities, policies, as well as personal preferences for the applicant. Therefore, the study of voters' behavior is an important part. Therefore, studying the behavior of voters is an important part to understand the decision-making process of the people and to be able to create or promote fair and effective participation in the election, which is to maintain the legitimate democracy of Thai people.

The objective of this research article was 1) To study the people’s decision towards the election of the President of Bang Torat Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province. 2) To compare the people’s decision towards the election of the President of Bang Torat Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province, and 3) To propose recommendations for the people’s decision towards the election of the President of Bang Torat Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province. Sample group comprised eligible voters residing in Bang ToRat Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province, totaling 378 individuals out of a population of 7,045. Research tools included questionnaires and statistical analyses utilizing frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The research results revealed that: 1). To study the people’s decision towards the election of the President of Bang Torat Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province. the overall score was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects were at a high level. When arranged in order which were shown as follows: In terms of knowledge, abilities, morality, ethics, and vision. 2) To compare people's decisions regarding the election of the Prime Minister, it was found that people of age Education level and different professions have people's decisions Overall different for people of different genders There is a decision of the people. no different and 3) To propose recommendations the subdistrict administrative organization president should develop knowledge skill continuous ability by using morality and ethics in conducting administration. and develop or support creative visions to build confidence among citizens in the election process.
