CITIZENSHIP PROMOTION OF THE MEDITATION TEACHERS COURSE OF THE WILLPOWER INSTITUTE IN SIRINDHORNTEPRATTANARAM TEMPLE, SAM PHRAN DISTRICT, NAKHON PATHOM PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to study: This research has the following objectives : 1) Study citizenship promotion of the meditation teachers course 2) Compare the opinions of students in the meditation teacher curriculum regarding citizenship promotion of the meditation teachers course 3) Provide recommendations on citizenship promotion of the meditation teachers course. This is a mixed methods research, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods. A sample of 130 participants, with five key informants providing additional information. The research tools included questionnaires and interviews. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, processed with statistical software, along with content analysis.   

            The research was found as follows :

            1)   Meditation teachers' curriculum students hold a generally high level. Across all six dimensions.

            2)   Upon comparing the opinions of meditation teachers' curriculum students with varying levels of education, occupations, and incomes, significant differences were observed in their perceptions of civic engagement promotion according to the curriculum guidelines of the Sirindhornteprattanaram temple in Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, with a significance level of 0.05.

            3)   Here are the recommendations for promoting civic engagement according to the curriculum guidelines, in each dimension : 1) Freedom and self-reliance students should meditate continuously. 2) Seeing people as equals. Meditation helps to develop kindness and compassion. 3) Acceptance of differences. Meditation increases awareness of oneself and others. 4) Respect for rights. Meditation helps promote fairness and respect develop mental flexibility 5) Social responsibility Strengthening the feeling of unity
6) Understanding democracy and participation help promote the development of democracy more efficiently.
