THE COMPONENTS OF DIGITAL LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION IN BANGKOK

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) To study the components of digital leadership of school administrators under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Bangkok; and (2) To analyze the exploratory component analysis of digital leadership of school administrators under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Bangkok. This research was a combined method of qualitative research and quantitative research. The methods of this study were divided into 2 steps. Step 1 was to study the components of digital leadership of school administrators under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Bangkok by using related documents and focus group discussion 2 times from 14 experts. The research instruments used in this process were group discussion issues, data collectors organized focus groups and recorded group discussions. The statistics employed was content analysis, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and exploratory factors analysis. Step 2 was to analyze the exploratory components of digital leadership by using questionnaire results from 360 participants. The research instruments used in this process was questionnaires the validity level at 0.99. The statistics employed was percentage, mean, standard deviation, and exploratory factors analysis.

The research findings were revealed as follows:

1. The components of the digital leadership model of school administrators under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Bangkok comprised of 7 factors were as follows: 1) digital vision 2) digital knowledge and skills 3) digital management 4) digital culture 5) digital cooperation network 6) adapting to the digital age and 7) digital strategy.
2. The results of the exploratory component analysis of digital leadership of school administrators under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in Bangkok were comprised of 7 components were as follows: 1) the digital vision consists of 15 key variables 2) digital knowledge and skills consists of 12 key variables 3) digital management consists of 14 key variables 4) digital culture consists of 7 key variables 5) digital cooperation network consists of 5 key variables 6) adapting to the digital age consists of 6 key variables and 7) digital strategy consists of 3 key variables.
