LEADERSHIP AFFECTING EFFECTIVENESS IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS IN SURAT THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study: 1) Public opinion levels on leadership of local government organizations in Surat Thani Province 2) Effectiveness in the Administration of Local Government Organizations in Surat Thani Province and 3) Public opinion levels on Leadership Affecting Effectiveness in the Administration of Local Government Organizations in Surat Thani Province. The sample group used in quantitative research is population aged 18 years and over who live in the responsibility area of the sub-district administrative organization in Surat Thani Province, 384 people. The sample group used in qualitative research were senior manager In Surat Thani province Specify of 17 people. The instruments used for data collection in this research are 2 types which are 1. Questionnaire and 2. In-depth interview. The tools used in the study were: questionnaire for quantitative research and In-depth interviews data were then analyzed by means, standard deviation and multiple regression analysis.

          The results were as follows:

1. The overall effectiveness of local administrative organization administration in Surat Thani Province is at a high level.
2. Leadership and leadership characteristics that affect the effectiveness of local administrative organization administration in Surat Thani Province are 76.70 percent, with statistical significance at the .05 level.
3. Guidelines for developing the efficiency of local administrative organizations in Surat Thani Province include community utilities, occupations and community economy, disaster prevention and relief, community public health services, natural resources and environmental development.
