GUIDELINES FOR OPERATING A STUDENT SUPPORT SYSTEM USING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS UNDER THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE ANG THONG PROVINCE

Abstract

         This research aimed to 1) study the state of the student care system using digital technology in educational institutions and 2) present guidelines for the operation of the student care system using digital technology in educational institutions. The research consisted of 2 phases: 1. Study the current state of the student care system using digital technology in educational institutions. The sample group consisted of 205 administrators and teachers. The sample group was determined using the Krejci and Morgan table. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.98 and the data were analyzed using the mean and standard deviation. 2. Guidelines for the operation of the student care system using digital technology in educational institutions. The main informants were the school directors and experts in the student care system. The purposive selection method was used. The instrument used was a semi-structured interview and the data was analyzed using content analysis techniques.

          The research results found that 1) The current state of the student care system using digital technology in educational institutions was at the highest level overall. The aspect with the highest mean was student screening, followed by knowing students individually. And the aspect with the lowest average is referral. 2) Guidelines for the operation of the student care system using digital technology of the educational institution, consisting of 5 aspects as follows: 1. Knowing students individually, for example, the educational institution should use social networks to collect data or track student behavior that is easily accessible. 2. Screening students (problem groups), for example, the educational institution should use cloud computing with the educational institution management program to screen students, collect data or track behavior. 3. Student promotion and development, for example, the educational institution should use cloud computing in an online format with Google Meet for convenient parent meetings. 4. Preventing and solving student problems, for example, the educational institution should use communication devices such as mobile phones or iPads to communicate with parents to provide initial consultation. 5. Referral, for example, the educational institution should use the social network application Facebook or Line as a channel to coordinate referrals with teacher counselors, psychologists or administrators.
