PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF NONG BUA SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, MUEANG DISTRICT, NONG BUA LAMPHU PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the level of public participation in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization, 2) compare the level of public participation in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization classified by gender, age, education level, occupation and average monthly income, and 3) study recommendations and guidelines for developing public participation in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The sample group used in this research was 377 people aged 18 years and over in Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization using Yamane's formula. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The statistics used for analysis were number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and data analysis. Hypothesis testing was done using the T-Test and F-Test.

          The research results showed that

1. The participation of the people in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province was at a high level overall. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average value was participation in evaluation, followed by participation in decision-making, and the aspect with the lowest average value was participation in operations.
2. The results of the comparison of the level of participation of the people in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province, classified by gender, age, education level, occupation, and average monthly income. Overall, people with different occupations participated in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province significantly differently at the 0.05 level. People with different genders, ages, education levels and different average monthly incomes, participation in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province is not different.
3. Suggestions, guidelines for developing public participation in the development of Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Mueang District, Nong Bua Lamphu Province, include: 1) Nong Bua Subdistrict Administrative Organization should organize meetings or open forums for public participation in various aspects regularly every month.
