THE EFFECTS OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP ON PUBLIC SERVICE EFFECTIVENESS OF SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, MUEANG TAK DISTRICT, TAK PROVINCE

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) to study the transformational leadership towards public service effectiveness, 2) to study the transformational leadership approach towards public service effectiveness. It uses both quantitative and qualitative research. Data were collected using questionnaires from a population of 122 people. Data were analyzed by finding percentages, means, and standard deviations. An interview form was used to collect data from 15 experts. Data was analyzed by content analysis.

          The research findings revealed that:
          1.   The effect of transformational leadership on the effectiveness of public services, both overall and in each aspect, is at a high level.

1. The approach of leadership in change towards the effectiveness of public services found that 1) In terms of infrastructure, the sub-district administrative organization should plan, survey, improve, and repair to be ready for use. 2) In terms of promoting quality of life, the sub-district administrative organization should organize training seminars to provide knowledge on occupations to increase income for families in the community. 3) In terms of organizing the community/society and maintaining peace and order, the sub-district administrative organization should organize a system in the community to be orderly, organize activities to provide knowledge on drug prevention, and have a unit to help victims of various disasters in the community. 4) In terms of planning to promote investment in commerce and tourism, the sub-district administrative organization should plan to organize training to provide knowledge on investment in running shops to increase income, monitor, evaluate, and provide assistance and advice. 5) In terms of management and conservation of natural resources and the environment, the sub-district administrative organization should organize activities to provide knowledge, create awareness for everyone to love the community, and encourage everyone to help take care of, develop, and conserve natural resources and the environment in the community to be orderly. 6) In terms of arts, culture, traditions, and local wisdom, the sub-district administrative organization should promote and support the maintenance of arts, traditions, religious preservation, and various local wisdoms, which are good local cultures.
