QUALITY OF DISASTER PREVENTION AND RELIEF SERVICES OF NON SUNG SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, MUEANG DISTRICT, UDON THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) the quality of disaster prevention and mitigation services, 2) compare the quality of disaster prevention and mitigation services classified by gender, age, education level, and occupation, and 3) guidelines for developing the quality of disaster prevention and mitigation services. The sample group consisted of 386 people living in Non Sung Subdistrict Administrative Organization using Yamane's formula. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The statistics used for analysis were number, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The data were analyzed and hypotheses were tested using t-test and f-test. The results of the research found that:

1. The quality of disaster prevention and mitigation services of Non Sung Subdistrict Administrative Organization was at a high level overall (= 3.55). When considering each aspect, the aspect with the highest average value was personnel (= 3.60), followed by facilities (= 3.55), and management (= 3.46).
2. Comparison of disaster prevention and mitigation service quality levels Overall, people with different genders, ages, and education levels have different opinions on the quality of disaster prevention and mitigation services with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. People with different occupations have similar opinions on the quality of disaster prevention and mitigation services.
3. Guidelines for developing the quality of disaster prevention and mitigation services include organizing training and seminars on disaster prevention and mitigation, such as training on emergency operations, disaster management, and emergency life-saving for personnel.
