QUALITY OF LIFE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE ELDERLY IN BANKROD TOWN MUNICIPALITY, BANG PA-IN DISTRICT, PHRANAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the quality of life development for the elderly in Bankrod town municipality, 2) to compare the opinion on the quality of life development level for the elderly in Bankrod town municipality classified by personal data, and 3) to propose the quality of life development program for the elderly in Bankrod town municipality. The research design was a mixed methods research, divided into quantitative research, the sample group included 323 elderly in Bankrod town municipality selected by proportional sampling method. Data collection tool was a questionnaire with the alpha reliability coefficient 0.92. The statistical tools used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis, T-test, and one-way ANOVA. And qualitative research, the key informants included 10 people selected by purposive sampling method. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview and the data was analyzed by content analysis.
The results of the research were as follows: 1) overall quality of life development for the elderly was at a highest level, 2) the elderly with different eduction level had different opinion on the quality of life development level, and 3) there were various the quality of life development program for the elderly in Bankrod town municipality found that (1) organizing the traditional Songkran water-pouring ceremony for the elderly annually, (2) supporting and promoting activities that foster connections between community members and the elderly to enhance social inclusion, (3) conducting surveys on the living conditions, selecting households in poor condition, and providing necessary home repairs for in financial hardship, (4) assigning personnel to maintain and repair electrical and water systems in elderly households to ensure they function efficiently and safely, (5) enhancing safety measures in the homes of elderly, and (6) establishing a dedicated space for meetings and club activities for the elderly.
