COMPETENCIES OF ADMINISTRATORS AFFECTING INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE NAKHON PATHOM PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the competency levels of school administrators; 2) to study the level of internal quality assurance implementation in schools; and 3) to examine the competencies of school administrators that influence internal quality assurance in schools under the Nakhon Pathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample group consisted of school administrators and teachers under the Nakhon Pathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in the academic year 2025, totaling 413 participants. The sample size was determined using Krejcie and Morgan's table, and simple random sampling was applied. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.868. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.
The results of the study revealed that 1) the administrators’ competencies were at a high level overall; 2) the implementation of internal quality assurance in schools was at the highest level overall; and 3) two variables of administrators’ competencies, namely achievement orientation and self-development, could jointly predict internal quality assurance in schools at 59.10%, with a standard error of prediction of 0.279, which was statistically significant at the .01 level.
