THE WICS MODEL FOR DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS IN THE AI-DRIVEN ERA

This study aims to synthesize and propose a conceptual framework for applying the WICS model (Wisdom–Intelligence–Creativity–Synthesis) to leadership development in public and private sectors within an AI-driven era, where artificial intelligence and big data significantly influence policy and strategic decision-making. The study adopts a qualitative approach using documentary research, analyzing information from textbooks, scholarly articles, and relevant studies on leadership, the WICS model, artificial intelligence, and organizational development in both domestic and international contexts. Data was examined through content analysis and conceptual synthesis. The article presents illustrative applications in the public sector, including public innovation development, data literacy enhancement, and AI governance, as well as in the private sector, such as product innovation, consumer behavior analysis, and digital team management. Findings suggest that the WICS model provides a robust framework for developing Thai leadership capable of adapting to technological transformation and promoting responsible and sustainable use of artificial intelligence.
