Self-management: The Skill of Sustainable Self-development

Self-management is an essential skill for self-development in various situations, and self-management is associated with success in life. The development of self-management skills through psychological principles for individuals to explore and understand themselves truly to be able to direct one’s emotions, behaviors, thoughts to achieve the set goals effectively. In addition, each individuel able to deal with the problems that arise, be able to life, enhance self-esteem, and be able to deal with unwanted emotions and behaviors. This article presents an application of psychological principles to develop self-management skills, starting with self-assessment, setting goals, self-monitoring and self-evaluation within the capacity and potential of each person, which is one of the ways for sustainable self-development.
