A Study of Students’ Opinions towards the Cheering and Welcoming Activities of the Students of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the opinions of students towards the cheering and welcoming activities of the students of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. The sample were 140 undergraduate students in the academic year 2019 in 4 majors. The instrument was a questionnaire on students' opinions, which has a reliability value of 0.81. The data were collected between January and February 2020 and analyzed using statistical software packages. The statistics used were mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance. The research results were as follows: 1) The students had viewed activities to welcome newcomers and cheering meetings as a creative activity in the getting to know friends and seniors. In contrast, they viewed their the activities could evole activity in the fear of seniors. 2) Male and female students had different opinions regarding the form of activities for welcoming newcomers and cheering meetings. 3) Students studying in different fields had no different opinions on organizing activities to welcome newcomers and cheer meetings, and 4) Students studying in different year levels had no different opinions on organizing activities to welcome newcomers and cheer meetings.
