Applying Agile Methodology to Develop an Online Student Admission System for Nakhon Phanom University

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) develop an online student admission system using Agile methodology and 2) evaluate the satisfaction of its users. The tools used to develop the system included designing the Front-End of the website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap, while the back-end system was developed using PHP, and the database system used MySQL. The system was developed using Agile methodology.

The research found that the evaluation of user satisfaction with the online student admission system by a group of 30 admission officers at Nakhon Phanom University had an overall average satisfaction score of 4.01, indicating a high level of satisfaction. Furthermore, when evaluated on different aspects, the content factor had the highest average score of 4.24, followed by ease of use with an average score of 4.05, system efficiency with an average score of 3.91, and presentation with an average score of 3.84. Overall, the system developed was able to meet the users’ needs, was convenience, reduce limitations of the previous system, improve the efficiency of online payment, and effectively generate necessary reports for the student admission process.
