Factors Affecting the Cultural Tourism Decisions of Elderly Tourists: A Case Study of Naga Monument, Phaya Si Sattanakarat, Nakhon Phanom Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study the factors affecting the cultural tourism decision of Thai elderly tourists, a case study of Naga Monument, Phaya Si Sattanakarat, Nakhon Phanom Province. It is a quantitative research the sample size was 400 people from Purposive Sampling. Data were also analyzed using statistics, percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics. The result shown the factors affecting the cultural tourism decision of elderly tourists, a case study of Naga Monument, Phaya Si Sattanakarat, Nakhon Phanom Province is personal factors including gender, age, education and monthly income. The opinions that affect the decision making of cultural tourism among elderly tourists as a whole it has the highest average level, an average of 4.56. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average was expect to be a cultural trip next time, the beauty of the arts, culture and the overall landscape of tourist attractions, popular, save money and worth the trip, architectural conservation, the traveling is convenient and safe, experiencing the way of life of people in the community, routes to access tourist attractions and traffic management.
