Learning development using the Melodian skill exercises Art learning subject group (music), Prathom Suksa 5, Wat Nong Chok School, Nong Chok District Office, Bangkok.

Abstract

   The objectives of this study were 1) to determine the efficiency of the Melodian skill exercise effective according to the 80/80 standard. 2) to compare the learning achievement between pretest and posttest on fundamental of western music notation 3) to study the satisfaction of Prathom Suksa 5 students towards learning by using the Melodian skill exercise of learning subjects of art (music) of Prathomsuksa 5 students at Wat Nong Chok School, Nong Chok District Office, Bangkok. The population used in this study were Prathom Suksa 5 students in the first semester of the 2018 academic year at Wat Nong Chok School. Nong Chok District Office. There were 6 classrooms in Bangkok with a total of 234 students and the sample used was 30 students in Grade 5/5 by Simple Random sampling. The instrument in this study was the Melodian skill exercise. Achievement test on fundamental of western music notation, multiple choice, 30 items with 4 options, which had a difficulty value between 0.40-0.67, a discriminating power value of 0.21-0.66, a confidence value for the whole paper of 0.87, and a student satisfaction questionnaire of Elementary school, which was an estimation scale, had 5 levels, 12 items, the reliability was 0.95. Statistics in the study were mean, standard deviation and comparing the difference in pre-learning and post-learning scores by using the t-test for Dependent Samples formula.

   
   

   The study found that 1) Melodian Skill Training, the subject group learning art (music), Grade 5, had efficiency equal to 86.50/85.22 which was higher than the standard 80/80 set. 2) Learning achievements on Melodion in the subject group learning art (music) of Prathomsuksa 5 students at Wat Nong Chok School, Nong Chok District Office, Bangkok, posttest was higher than pretest with statistically significant level at .05. 3) The grade 5 students were satisfied with the learning management by using the Melodian skill exercises, the subject group learning art (music), grade 5, had an overall average of 4.64. at the highest level with standard deviation at 0.49.
