Enhancing Grade 8 Students' Mathematical Performance on Factoring Quadratic Polynomials through Active Learning

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) find the efficiency of the learning management plan using proactive learning management on Factoring of Second Degree Polynomials of Mathayomsuksa 2 with efficiency according to the 80/80 criterion. 2) compare achievement in mathematics of Mathayomsuksa 2 students before and after the active learning management on Factoring of Second Degree Polynomials 3) study the students' satisfaction towards learning by using the active learning management subject Factoring of second degree polynomials of Mathayomsuksa 2 students. The target group in this research is 19 Mathayomsuksa 2/1 students who are studying in the second semester of the academic year 2022, Muangsomdet School, Somdet District, Kalasin Province. Which was obtained by cluster sampling method. The research tools were 1) a learning management plan, 2) a learning achievement test, and 3) Student Satisfaction Questionnaire Statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, percentage, performance check formula. and t-test statistics. The research findings were as follows: 1) Learning management plan using proactive learning management on factoring of second degree polynomials. of Mathayomsuksa 2 meet the established criteria. 2) Comparison of learning achievement in mathematics. of Mathayomsuksa 2 students before and after the active learning management on Factoring of Second Degree Polynomials found that the post-test scores were significantly higher than before at the .05 level. Secondary school students were satisfied with Learning by using active learning management on Factoring of Second Degree Polynomials of Mathayomsuksa 2 students, the mean was 4.08 and the standard deviation was 0.85, which was at a high level
