The Development of Online Self-Learning Materials on 21st Century Skills for Diploma Students at Nan Community College

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) develop online self-learning materials and a system focusing on 21st Century Skills for diploma students, and 2) examine student satisfaction with online self-learning media and systems. The study was conducted using a Research and Development (R&D) framework based on the ADDIE Model. The sample consisted of 100 diploma students selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included the “NAN-Self Directed Learning” ecosystem and a satisfaction questionnaire, both of which underwent content validity testing (IOC) by experts and reliability testing via a try-out with 30 non-sample individuals. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean (x̄), and standard deviation (S.D.).

The research findings indicated that The developed online self-learning system comprises three core modules: 1) Learning and Innovation Skills (English for Job Interviews), 2) Information, Media, and Technology Skills (Using Canva), and 3) Life and Career Skills (Starting a New Job based on the Enneagram approach) and Overall student satisfaction was rated at a "Very Good" level across all dimensions. Specifically, the highest satisfaction was found in learning benefits (x̄=4.86 , S.D.=0.40), followed by media and system design (x̄=4.84 , S.D.=0.37) , and content quality (x̄=4.81 , S.D.=0.40) , respectively.

The results demonstrate that the developed self-learning ecosystem effectively responds to the needs of learners in the digital era and serves as a sustainable guideline for promoting Active Learning environments.
