Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the level of good citizenship awareness among students based on the Three Principles of Sovereignty and 2) synthesize a conceptual model for cultivating good citizenship awareness among students based on the Three Principles of Sovereignty. This research employed a quantitative research methodology. The sample consisted of 66 lower secondary school students from schools under the Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The researcher used multi-stage sampling to obtain a sample size of 66 students, based on the Krejcie and Morgan table (R.V. Krejcie & D.W. Morgan). Data was collected using questionnaires. Statistical analysis included percentages, means, and standard deviations.

          The research results found that: The model for developing good citizenship awareness among students using the three aspects of sovereignty, overall, is at a high level. Considering each aspect individually, they can be ranked from highest to lowest average value as follows: Aspect 3, Dharmacracy (prioritizing righteousness, goodness, and reason), followed by Aspect 2, Globalism (prioritizing the popularity of the masses), and least likely, Aspect 1, Autocracy (prioritizing oneself). Broken down by aspect, Aspect 1, Autocracy (prioritizing oneself), is at a high level overall; Aspect 2, Globalism (prioritizing the popularity of the masses), is at a high level overall; and Aspect 3, Dharmacracy (prioritizing righteousness, goodness, and reason), is at a high level overall.
