Abstract

The objectives of the research were 1) to examine the current conditions and desirable conditions and needs, 2) to study guidelines to develop role of school administrators in promoting executive functions. The research was divided into two phases. Phase I was to study the current and desirable conditions and needs for role of school administrators in promoting executive functions. The sample group was 320 teachers. The statistics used for data analysis include percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as a need assessment analysis. Phase II involved establishing guidelines for developing role of school administrators in promoting executive functions through interviewing five experts selected by purposive sampling. The results

            The results of the research were as follows: 1) The overall current conditions were at a high level. The aspect with the highest average was building engagement and trust. For the overall desirable conditions, the aspect with the highest average score was social skills learning. And the most important need is to provide diverse learning experiences. 2) The guidelines for developing role of school administrators in promoting executive functions were for learning experience design, school administrators should promote active learning by linking lessons to real-life situations and local resources. Creating a supportive and suitable environment, school administrators should ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Social skills learning, school administrators should encourage students to be aware of and understand their own thoughts and emotions. provide opportunities for students to learn compromise. Building engagement and trust, respectively, school administrators should help students manage their emotions and thoughts, support emotional intelligence development, encourage self-directed learning.
