Abstract

This study aimed to 1) examine the current implementation status of educational institutions under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in relation to the Thailand 4.0 policy, 2) investigate the factors influencing the Thailand 4.0 policy, and 3) propose development guidelines for educational institutions to align with the policy. The sample consisted of 385 educational personnel, determined using Yamane’s formula. A questionnaire was employed as the research instrument, and the data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.

          The findings revealed that: 1) The current implementation of the Thailand 4.0 policy showed that the level of information exposure regarding the policy was moderate, with social media being the primary source. The competencies of school administrators were at a high level, while the promotion of a learning culture within schools was at a moderate level. 2) The factors related to attitudes toward accepting the policy were at a moderate level. Knowledge and understanding of the Thailand 4.0 policy were also at a moderate level, as was participation in school projects or activities related to the policy. 3) The recommended development guidelines for educational institutions to align with the Thailand 4.0 policy included developing administrators’ leadership to accommodate change, fostering learning organizations, enhancing the capacity of personnel and students to pursue self-directed learning, promoting teachers’ professional ethics, supporting academic and social networks among educational institutions, and advancing educational innovations, technology, and instructional practices to strengthen learners’ competencies. Additionally, schools should promote activities that develop 21st-century life skills among students. Overall, the variables displayed a moderate positive correlation with the implementation of the Thailand 4.0 policy, with statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
