Abstract
This study aimed (1) to examine the level of political expression among citizens in Maha Sarakham Province; (2) to investigate the factors influencing political expression among citizens in Maha Sarakham Province; and (3) to explore guidelines for developing political expression among citizens in Maha Sarakham Province. The sample consisted of 400 citizens aged 18 years and older residing in Maha Sarakham Province in 2025, selected using Taro Yamane’s formula. The research instrument was a rating-scale questionnaire. The statistical methods used for data analysis included percentages, means, frequencies, standard deviations, and multiple regression analysis.
The research findings revealed that (1) the overall level of political expression among citizens in Maha Sarakham Province was high. (2) The factors influencing political expression included socioeconomic factors, education and information-related factors, and political consciousness factors. These variables jointly explained 53.70 percent of the variance in political expression, with statistical significance at the .05 level. (3) The guidelines for developing political expression among citizens in Maha Sarakham Province comprised promoting political participation through the enhancement of political knowledge and the provision of transparent and accountable digital participation channels; developing digital political behavior by strengthening media literacy skills and establishing digital citizen networks; articulating political demands based on legal rights and freedoms in conjunction with the use of online channels and peaceful negotiation mechanisms; fostering political support grounded in public values and the public interest, accompanied by mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating compliance with social contracts; advancing public policy by enhancing skills in policy analysis and presentation through the use of applications, digital platforms.
