Peer Review Process
To maintain the highest scholarly standards, all submissions to IJSET must be original works that have not been previously published or are not currently under consideration elsewhere. The evaluation process follows these steps:
-
Editorial Pre-assessment: Every manuscript is initially screened by the Editor to ensure it aligns with the journal’s scope and quality standards.
-
Double-Blind Review: Suitable papers are forwarded to at least three independent experts for a rigorous double-blind peer review, ensuring the anonymity of both authors and reviewers.
-
Final Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations and consultation with the Editorial Board, the Editors will determine if a paper is to be accepted, requires revision, or is rejected.
IJSET’s Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Science Education and Teaching (IJSET) places great importance on academic integrity and the prevention of plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are subject to systematic plagiarism screening to ensure originality and ethical scholarly practice.
Every original manuscript submitted to IJSET is automatically checked using the CopyCatch system (Copyright, Academic Work and Thesis Checking System). In addition, manuscripts may be further examined using Turnitin or other recognized plagiarism detection tools when deemed necessary.
Beyond automated similarity checks, the editorial board and peer reviewers also conduct careful evaluations to identify potential issues related to plagiarism, improper citation, excessive similarity, or unethical use of published or unpublished works.
Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or unacceptable levels of similarity will be rejected or returned to authors for revision, in accordance with IJSET’s editorial policies and international publication ethics.
