This study aimed to develop and evaluate a nail salon queue booking system to enhance convenience, speed, and accuracy in customer queue management. The system operates on both a website and a LINE Chatbot, allowing customers to book appointments, check their queue status, and receive queue notifications 24 hours a day without time limitations. Additionally, it can efficiently respond to basic customer inquiries in place of staff. The system quality was evaluated in two phases: expert evaluation by five specialists, and usability testing with 30 real users comprising 20 nail salon customers, 5 salon owners, and 5 nail technicians. For development, the website was built using JavaScript, with Django Framework for backend development and React for frontend development. The LINE Chatbot was integrated through the LINE Messaging API to support automated user interactions. The MySQL database was used to systematically and securely store customer and booking information. The results of the system development demonstrated that the queue booking system via both the website and LINE Chatbot improved queue management efficiency, reduced duplicate bookings, and helped save the salon’s time and resources. The evaluation results of the website’s performance indicated that the overall quality of the nail salon queue booking system was rated at the highest level, with an average score of 4.67 and a standard deviation of 0.21. Considering each aspect, the system’s functionality was evaluated to be at a high-quality level. The results of the system efficiency evaluation by users also revealed that the system’s overall quality was at the high level, with a mean score of 4.09 and a standard deviation of 0.80. This indicates that the nail salon queue reservation system was highly effective in supporting and enhancing customer relationship planning.
