This independent study examines the factors affecting organizational commitment among personnel in the low-cost airline industry, focusing on ground operations staff. The objectives of the study are: (1) to investigate the impact of quality of work life on organizational commitment, (2) to examine the influence of job characteristics on organizational commitment, and (3) to analyze the effect of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from 400 respondents and analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis.
The results revealed that the majority of respondents were female (65.25%), aged between 21–30 years (62.3%), held a bachelor’s degree (34.25%), and had less than one year of work experience (40.25%). Most respondents were employed by Thai AirAsia (30.5%). Overall, the findings indicated that quality of work life, job characteristics, perceived organizational support, and organizational commitment were rated at a high level. Hypothesis testing showed that quality of work life, job characteristics, and perceived organizational support significantly influenced organizational commitment among personnel in the low-cost airline industry, specifically ground operations staff, at the 0.05 level of statistical significance.
