Abstract

This study aims to explore guidelines for designing culturally-based agrotourism activities for creative learning in agricultural gardens in Nakhon Nayok Province. A qualitative research approach was employed, involving 30 key-informants selected through purposive sampling. The informants included agricultural garden personnel who provide learning spaces or operate tourism-related services, Thai tourists, and experts in culture or tourism. Data were collected through in-depth interviews using a semi-structured interview guide, conducted through on-site fieldwork to ensure contextual relevance. Thematic analysis was used to identify key themes that inform effective activity design.

The findings indicate that successful activity design should encourage hands-on participation, incorporate clearly defined learning objectives, offer enjoyable and engaging experiences, and be tailored to the specific needs of target groups. These guidelines contribute to the development of culturally-based agrotourism activities that foster creative learning, deliver meaningful experiences, effectively meet tourists’ expectations, and ultimately advance agrotourism practices while promoting cultural preservation and long-term sustainability.
