Abstract

This academic article aims to present concepts for food waste management in five-star hotels in Bangkok. Food waste has become a critical issue affecting both the environment and society, especially in conferences and events hosted by five-star hotels where food is served in large quantities. Using the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this article analyzes three key components: (1) raising awareness of the food waste problem, (2) management practices that generate positive impacts on the environment, economy, and society, and (3) sustainable development goals (SDGs). The article also provides examples of management approaches and business concepts drawn from case studies of five-star hotels in Bangkok that apply multi-dimensional strategies to create significant economic and social value.
