AMPHETAMINE AND DERIVATIVE LAWS AND MEASURES: THE PORTUGUESE REPUBLIC

Abstract

         This article aims to study the law on amphetamine and its derivatives in the Republic of Portugal, consistent with the 1971 Psychotropic Substances Convention by the United Nations. Although Thailand is part of this international law, it does not apply the correct principles to the law and policy on drugs, especially amphetamines and their derivatives. The article highlights the importance of the law on amphetamines and their derivatives, by the law relating to such substances in the Portuguese Republic and laws relating to drug classification. It is a country that focuses on drug or substance abuse problems. Because, over the past several decades, the Portuguese Republic has always faced problems with drugs or substance abuse. The Republic of Portugal has solved the drug problem. The word "Portugal Model" refers to the success of the Portuguese Republic in solving the problem. Currently, the laws and measures of the Republic of Portugal on amphetamines and their derivatives are of great interest. Because there are excellent and effective ways to deal with amphetamine users and their derivatives, this will enable the development of laws and measures to manage amphetamine-related drug problems and derivatives in Thailand effectively.
