The Needs for the Develop of Administrative Skills of School Administrators under the Office of Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area

The purpose of this research was to 1) study the current and the desired conditions for developing administrative skills of school administrators under the Office of Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area, and 2) prioritize the needs for the development of administrative skills of school administrators under the Office of Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area. The 250 informants, determined using the table of de Vaus, were teachers under Pathum Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office. The research tool was a 5 point-rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the PNI analysis method.
The results showed that:
- There was a gap between the current and the desired needs for the development of administrative skills of school administrators. The desired was higher than the actual condition in both overall and individual aspects.
- The needs for the development of administrative skills of school administrators can be prioritized as (1) human skills (2) cognitive skills (3) conceptual skills (4) technical skills, and (5) educational and teaching skills, respectively.
