Growth mindset, the belief that ability can be developed through effort, learning from mistakes, and consistent practice, is a disposition of critical importance for lifelong learning. This article examines the foundational concepts and theories of language mindset through a scoping review of Thai and international literature published between 2017 and 2026. The review aims to present strategies for cultivating a growth mindset in language learning among Thai learners, encompassing mindset assessment, growth mindset intervention programs, instructional approaches that foster a growth mindset, constructive learning reflection, goal-setting and self-regulated learning, error management and negative emotion regulation, and the use of technology to promote a growth mindset. The article further analyzes the interplay between sociocultural factors and contextual conditions that give rise to challenges in developing a growth mindset within the Thai educational context.
