LEGAL ISSUES IN THE DETERMINATION OF PATTERN PAYMENT FOR MINIMUM WAGES IN THAILAND
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the matter of Hire of work according to labor protection laws in all countries. The state emphasizes on this issue. The formulation of the minimum wage rate in Thailand has been divided into 3 forms: 1) the minimum wage rate is divided into 10 rates starting from 313 baht per day up to 336 baht 2) wage rate according to standards of skills and 3) hourly wage rate for students. There is no proper and fair form of stipulating the initial minimum wage for unskilled or child labor. This leads to discrepancies in labor society in those countries, as experienced and rookies who begin working at the same time will create inequity in the country's entire labor system.
For further development, a separate age-based minimum wage model for experienced or trained workers and untrained or unskilled workers who are just starting out should be constructed. Because the hourly wage requirement motivates employees to work diligently in order to keep more hours of employment, the minimum wage should be established as hourly wages. To improve staff efficiency in the ASEAN Economic Community, clear work goals should be established.
