Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1. to study the level of public opinion on the development of the fairy mushroom cultivation career of the Ban Phue Noi community, Ban Phue Subdistrict, Chom Phra District, Surin Province. 2. To compare the public's opinions on the development of the mushroom cultivation career, and the cultivation of fairy mushrooms in the Ban Phue Noi community, Ban Phue Subdistrict, Chom Phra District, Surin Province. 3. To study guidelines for career development in the cultivation of fairy mushrooms in the Ban Phue Noi community, Ban Phue Subdistrict, Chom Phra District, Surin Province. The research used mixed methods. The quantitative research used questionnaires to collect data from 256 people, and the statistics used in data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, variance, and t-distribution value. The qualitative research used in-depth interviews with key informants by selecting specifically, including the village headman, assistant village headman, a group of mushroom growers, and 16 people in the community. Data was analyzed by content analysis, categorize, and synthesize into common points or main points for discussing the content. The results of the research found that 1) the overall level of public opinion was at a high average level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the level of public opinion in all 6 areas was at a high average level in all aspects. 2) The results of comparing public opinions found that people with age, occupation, status and average monthly income have different opinions on career development overall not different. As for people of different genders and educational levels, the opinions on career development were overall different in statistics significant at the 0.05 level. 3) Career development guidelines found that on the production side, natural materials were used to reduce production costs. On the income side, group members had income from their career in mushroom cultivation and had plans. In terms of marketing, there were agencies in the community to support agriculture, and planning for distribution. In terms of budget, there was a sufficient budget for cultivation. There was a place to build a greenhouse for living materials and organizational culture. Promote and support professional groups for cultivating fairy mushrooms to play a greater role, and activities related to career group development projects to create a network.
