Abstract

This research aims to: 1. study the housing conditions of individuals with mobility or physical disabilities at severity level 3 in the municipal area of Prachinburi Province; 2. analyze those conditions; 3. design a 2D prototype layout of suitable housing; and 4. develop a housing prototype using Augmented Reality (AR) and animation technologies. The key informants consisted of 12 individuals, including people with severe mobility or physical disabilities, caregivers, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, selected through purposive sampling. An additional 385 participants with severity level 3 disabilities were selected through simple random sampling to evaluate the housing adaptation.  The results showed that 1. the design concept emphasized safety in key areas such as beds, multipurpose tables, toilets, flooring, and door width, aligning with accessible design principles. 2. The housing prototype using AR and animation received very high satisfaction, with an average score of 4.757. Evaluation across eight aspects: space usability, functional suitability, aesthetics, adaptability, inclusiveness, usefulness to people with disabilities, design uniqueness, and overall satisfaction showed average scores ranging from 4.701 to 4.865, indicating strong approval from participants.
