To maintain a focused academic identity and support international indexing standards, IJSASR generally does not consider manuscripts that are:

  2. Descriptive local reports that lack theoretical contribution, analytical depth, methodological rigor, or international relevance.
  3. Manuscripts outside the journal’s three thematic areas unless they clearly address social transformation through applied sociology, applied anthropology, or social science perspectives.
  4. Articles focused only on local administrative description without comparative, theoretical, cultural, policy, or social development significance.
  5. Manuscripts with limited relevance to international readers or without clear contribution to existing scholarship.
  6. Papers that rely primarily on non-academic sources or lack engagement with current international literature.

Reflecting the journal’s published content, IJSASR accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Guidelines on AI-Generated Content

IJSASR acknowledges the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to generate information that can be helpful for articles submitted to the journal for prospective publication.   However, the journal also recognizes the need to ensure that AI-generated content is managed sensibly and morally.
This policy describes the journal's guidelines for using AI-generated content in published articles.
1. Definition of AI-generated content
For this policy, any content created or substantially modified by an AI system is referred to as AI-generated content. This includes both content created wholly by an AI system and content authored by a human author that has undergone substantial AI system alteration.
2. Principles
IJSASR will only publish AI-generated content that complies with the following rules:
* The AI system that produced the content cannot be recognized as one of the authors when it is submitted for potential publication.
* The AI system used to generate the content must be properly described in the article.
* The human author's contribution to the content must be acknowledged.
* The AI-generated content must be original and not plagiarized.
* The AI-generated content must be accurate and reliable.
* The AI-generated content must not mislead or deceive readers.
3. Procedure
Authors who wish to submit articles with AI-generated content must provide IJSASR with the following information:
* A detailed description of the AI system used to generate the content.
* A copy of the original input data used to generate the content.
* A copy of the AI-generated content.
* A statement acknowledging the human author's contribution to the content.
IJSASR will evaluate the AI-generated content and decide if it is suitable for publication.
4. Enforcement
IJSASR reserves the right to reject or retract any article that does not comply with this policy.

 

Article Retraction Policy

An article that has previously been published gets retracted when it is taken out of a journal. The editor and/or editorial board of the journal may decide on this. Small editorial mistakes don't lead to retractions. In this instance, an article would be updated. Retractions reveal more significant problems with a piece of writing. Retractions may occur because of
- Errors in the research
- Issues with the reproducibility of the research
- Plagiarism
- Falsification of data or results
- Fabrication of data or results
- Copyright infringement
- Failure to disclose a conflict of interest
- No institutional review board approval for research on human subjects or animals

1. Types of Acceptable Articles: The journal accepts research articles, academic articles, and review articles that include a complete and properly formatted reference list. Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate academic merit and address issues of social relevance, contributing substantively to scholarly discourse.
2. Originality of Submissions: The journal does not accept translated manuscripts, interview-based articles, or any work that lacks original analytical or scholarly contribution. All submissions must be original and unpublished elsewhere.
3. Peer Review Process: All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by two or three qualified reviewers. The review process ensures academic rigor, methodological soundness, and adherence to ethical standards.
4. Author Responsibility: Opinions, interpretations, and conclusions expressed in published articles are solely those of the authors. Authors bear full responsibility for any content that may affect the rights, freedoms, or reputations of others.
5. Permission for Use of Content: The journal does not restrict the citation or use of its published content in other scholarly works, provided that proper academic citation is given in accordance with established referencing standards.

 

Journal History

The International Journal of Sociologies and Anthropologies Science Reviews (IJSASR)—formerly identified by ISSN 2774-0366 (Online) and currently registered under ISSN 2985-2730 (Online)—was established in 2021 by the Dr. Ken Institute of Academic Development and Promotion, Maha Sarakham Province, Thailand. The journal publishes six issues per year (bi-monthly) and is committed to disseminating high-quality scholarly work in the social sciences and related fields.

Since its inception, the journal has achieved several important milestones:

  • 2021 – Indexed in Google Scholar, enhancing global visibility for authors and their publications.
  • 2022 (June) – Evaluated and accepted into the Thai-Journal Citation Index Center (TCI). Articles published from 1 January 2022 onward were formally recognized by TCI.
  • 2023 (7 July) – The journal revised its publication format to align with international academic standards, beginning with Volume 3, Issue 1.
  • 2023 (Volume 3, Issue 4 onward) – IJSASR became an official Crossref member, adopting Crossref DOIs for all published articles to ensure global discoverability and permanent digital identification.
  • 2023 (13 November) – The journal updated its ISSN from 2774-0366 to 2985-2730, applied starting from Volume 3, Issue 6.
  • 2024 – Expanded indexing and presence in international platforms, including ResearchGate, Semantic Scholar, and SciSpace AI.
  • 2025 (4 February) – Successfully passed the 5th round of journal quality assessment by the Thai Journal Citation Index Center (TCI) and was classified as TCI Tier 1 (2025–2029).

Plagiarism Policy  

The International Journal of Sociologies and Anthropologies Science Reviews (IJSASR) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using CopyCatch, the plagiarism detection system utilized by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Center (TCI). Every manuscript undergoes a plagiarism check within 24 hours of submission, prior to entering the peer review process.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage—during initial screening, peer review, or post-acceptance—the Editor-in-Chief will notify the author(s) immediately. Authors may be required to revise the manuscript, properly cite the original sources, or provide further clarification. Manuscripts containing more than 25% plagiarized content may be rejected outright or returned for substantial revision.

IJSASR maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of plagiarism. Violations constitute serious breaches of ethical publishing standards. Examples of plagiarism include, but are not limited to:

  1. Verbatim copying of another author’s work without quotation marks and proper citation.
  2. Use of distinctive terms, concepts, or ideas without acknowledging the original source.
  3. Paraphrasing or summarizing another author’s work without proper attribution.
  4. False citation, including attributing material to incorrect or nonexistent sources.
  5. Fabrication or manipulation of data, which constitutes academic misconduct and fraud.
  6. Failure to acknowledge co-authors or collaborators, or misrepresenting contributions.
  7. Self-plagiarism or duplicate submission, including submission of identical or substantially similar manuscripts to multiple journals.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work. Manuscripts found to violate this policy may result in rejection, retraction, or reporting to relevant academic authorities.

 

Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Sociologies and Anthropologies Science Reviews (IJSASR) employs a double-blind peer review process and is published on a bi-monthly basis. Manuscripts that are outside the journal’s scope, poorly structured, insufficiently original, ethically incomplete, or inconsistent with the journal’s requirements may be rejected at this stage.

2. External Double-Blind Peer Review

Estimated timeline: approximately 4–6 weeks

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, research experience, and absence of conflicts of interest.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

3. Editorial Decision and Notification

After receiving reviewer reports, the Editor-in-Chief or handling editor evaluates the recommendations and makes an editorial decision.

Editorial decisions are based on reviewer comments, academic merit, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

The possible decisions include:

  • Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication.
  • Minor Revision: The manuscript requires limited revision before acceptance.
  • Major Revision: The manuscript requires substantial revision and may be reassessed.
  • Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires major improvement and may undergo another review round.
  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s academic, ethical, or editorial standards.

Authors are notified of the decision through the journal’s online submission system.

4. Revision Stage

Authors invited to revise their manuscripts must submit:

Failure to address reviewer and editor comments adequately may result in rejection.

5. Final Evaluation of Revised Manuscripts

After resubmission, the editorial team evaluates whether the revised manuscript has adequately addressed all comments.

The revised manuscript may be:

  • Accepted
  • Returned for further revision
  • Sent back to reviewers for additional assessment
  • Rejected if major concerns remain unresolved

When the manuscript meets the journal’s academic, ethical, and editorial standards, it receives formal acceptance.

6. Copyediting, Proofreading, and Publication

Accepted manuscripts are forwarded to the production process, which includes:
