The Development of Performance Skills on Standard Classical Thai Dance by Using Video together with Flipped Classroom for Prathomsuksa 5 Students, Baanrimtai School

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were 1) to create and evaluate the suitability of video media together with flipped classroom for developing performance skills on standard classical Thai dance for Prathom Suksa 5 students at Baanrimtai School  2) to study the development of performance skills on standard classical Thai dance after using a video together with flipped classroom for Prathom Suksa 5 Students at Baanrimtai School. This research was an action research. The sample were selected by purposive sampling of 25 students Prathom Suksa 5 in the second semester of 2022 academic year. The research instruments were 1) video together with flipped classroom 2) the suitability assessment form of video together with flipped classroom 3) the scoring rubric assessment form for standard dance practice. The statistics analysis method were mean and standard deviation.

          The results of the research showed that 1) the suitability of video media together with flipped classroom for developing standard dance practice skills received positive evaluation including content, learning activities, learning materials, measurement and evaluation, and format of video media with flipped classroom. Each of the five sets had an average score exceeding 4.8, with a standard deviation of not more than 0.5 2) The average score of students  was rated as very good in 4 skills as follow: (1) Head and body tilt skill ( = 41.20, S.D. = 0.96) (2) Hand movement Skills ( = 40.28, S.D. = 1.34)  (3) Head, body and hand tilt skills ( = 40.56, S.D. = 1.33) (4) Head-to-toe skills ( = 40.96, S.D. = 1.02) and the average scores was rated as good level in 1 skill which was Foot skills ( = 39.64, S.D. = 1.63). All standard dance skills have a similar mean and standard deviation.
