Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced A4 size; uses a TH SarabunPSK 14-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the APA6th stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Articles submitted for publication in the Journal of Liberal Arts, RMUTT, should be of academic content in the fields of humanities, social sciences, linguistics, applied linguistics, tourism and hotel management, aviation service industry, physical education and recreation, and related fields. Articles must not have been previously published or be under review by experts for publication in other journals. The author  must strictly follow the guidelines for submitting academic articles or research articles for publication in the Journal of Liberal Arts, RMUTT. The citation system must also comply with the journal's guidelines. n addition, the author must not report inaccurate and misleading information, including creating false information, falsification, distortion, as well as decoration or selection of specific information in order to be consistent with the conclusion. The views and opinions that appear in articles in the Journal of Liberal Arts, RMUTT, are the responsibility of the author. Furthermore, the author must consider research ethics and not violate or plagiarize the work of others. The journal has set a plagiarism threshold of 25% using the CopyCat program on Thaijo. This will take effect from January 2023 onwards.

Article preparation

1) The manuscript must be 10-15 pages long, A4 paper (including references), printed on one side of the paper, using the THSarabunPSK font (click to view example). Set the page layout by leaving 1 inch top and left margins, and 1 inch right and bottom margins. Set the line spacing to 1.0 and leave one line between each paragraph. When presenting images and tables, the images and tables must be clear and have a number assigned to them below, printed in bold, such as Table 1 or Figure 1.
2) The title must be in both Thai and English, and it must be centered on the first page.
3) The name(s) of the author(s) must be listed in both Thai and English, along with the affiliation(s) or organization(s).
4) The manuscript must include an abstract in Thai, with a maximum of 300 words.
5) The manuscript must include 3-5 keywords, both in Thai and English.

6) The headings must be aligned to the left margin. The subheadings must be indented 3-5 characters from the main heading. The subheadings of the same size must be aligned. Leave a blank line when starting a new main heading.

7) The use of numbers, abbreviations, and parentheses should use only Arabic numerals. Only universal abbreviations should be used (full words should be used the first time). English parentheses should be used as follows: (Student centred learning).

The order of the contents of a research paper is as follows:

1) The abstract provides a brief and concise summary of the research objectives, methodology, and findings.

2) The introduction provides background information on the research topic, explains the significance of the study, and identifies the research objectives.

3) The methodology section describes the research design, sampling method, sample size, research instruments, data collection methods, and data analysis methods.

4) The results section presents the findings of the research in a clear and concise manner, following the order of the research objectives. Tables or charts should be used to illustrate the findings. 

5) The discussions section should be written as an essay, showing the relationship between the research findings, the conceptual framework, and previous research. It should not be discussed in a point-by-point format, but should show the relationship between all the variables studied.

6) Originality and Body of Knowledge (if any) should identify the new knowledge that is the result of the research. It should be synthesized into a model, with a concise and easy-to-understand explanation of the model's format/structure.

7) Conclusion / Recommendation should identify the key findings and recommendations for the application of the research findings, and issues for further research. 

8) References should be in APA 6th format, and should only include sources that are cited in the article.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Journal of Liberal Arts RMUTT announces that the article processing charge (APC) will be set at 4,000 baht, effective with Vol. 5 No. 1 (2024) onwards.

This include the expenses associated with every stage of the publication process, ranging from managing the peer-review process to providing hosting services for the final piece on dedicated servers. The Article Processing Charge (APC) are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Note: All authors are required to complete the payment of the article processing fee (APC)  prior to submitting their articles for peer review.

ORCID Connect

Upon receiving approval for publication from the reviewers, the editorial board will send a link via email for verifying the identity by logging in through the ORCID system (the journal's system does not store any usernames or passwords). Authors are requested to complete this process within one week. Once the article is published, a message will be sent to the authors' ORCID inbox informing them of the publication and requesting their consent to store their information in the ORCID system.

Copyright

The authors maintain ownership of their patents and trademarks, and  are allowed to utilize their research data without any limitations. Proper recognition and acknowledgement are given to the authors for their published work. The authors have the privilege to incorporate their own material into new works without seeking permission or making any financial compensation, as long as they fully acknowledge the original article. The authors have the freedom to employ and distribute their works for academic purposes, as long as they fully acknowledge the original article.
