The Development of Pre-School Students’ Social Behavior by Using the Creative Art Activities Through a Group Method

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: 1. to compare the social behavior of the pre-school students before doing the creative art activities through a group method with that after doing the creating art activities through a group method; 2. to compare the group process behavior of the pre-school students before doing the creative art activities through a group method with that after doing the creative art activities through a group method; and 3. To explore the satisfaction of the pre-students’ guardians before and after doing the creative art activities through a group method. The target group was a group of 29 pre-school students studying at the Anuban 2 of Thetsaban 1 (Phupha Phakdi Road) School, Narathiwat Town Municipality. The experiment was conducted for 6 weeks. The instruments used in this study included 18 lesson plans of the creative art activities through a group method, a learning experience program, a social behavior observation form, a group process observation form, and a guardian satisfaction survey form. The data were analyzed by using percentage (%), mean ( ) ,and standard deviation (S.D.) The findings indicated that the social behavior of the students after using the creative art activities through a group method was significantly higher at the 0.05. The group process behavior of the students after using the creative art activities through a group method was significantly higher at the 0.05. The satisfaction to the creative art activities through a group method of the students’ guardians after doing the activities was at high level.
