Guidelines for Community Learning Development toward Water Resources Management in Samut Songkhram Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to survey the status and problems of community water resources management knowledge in Samut Songkram Province and to utilize the obtained results as a guideline for the community learning development toward water resources management. Samples used in this research were of 8 experts and academicians from 3 sub-districts: Bang Chakrang, Khwae Om, and Kradang Nga by using purposive sampling method.

The results of the research showed that current status and problems regarding knowledge of community water resources management in Samut Songkhram Province, based on the analysis by applying the Logical Framework Approach (LFA), the development of learning about water resources management through learning media that is consistent with the basic knowledge of the community can be considered as the most applicable strategies. In addition, the way to improve the community learning on water resources management in Samut Songkhram Province must be related to the concept of sustainable development of water resources management based on sustainable development covering social, economic and environment.
