The Study of Mathematical Solving Abilities Involving Single-variable Quadratic Equations Using the Blooket Application to Integrate the Collaborative Learning Management of TGT Techniques for Ninth Grade Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study ninth-grade students' ability to solve mathematical problems involving single-variable quadratic equations using the Blooket application to integrate the collaborative learning management of TGT techniques, which gives students an average mathematical problem-solving score of at least 70 percent, and the number of students who pass the criteria is 70 percent, and to study the attitude towards mathematics after learning. The sample group in the research was for ninth-grade students in the first semester of the academic year 2022 at Nong Kungsri Wittayakarn School, Nong Kung Si District, Kalasin Province, and consisted of 26 ninth-grade students using group random sampling. The research tools were 1) a 9-hour learning management plan and 2) a 15-item measure of attitude toward mathematics. The data used for analysis were means, standard deviations, and percentages. The results showed that: 1) Students are able to solve mathematical problems involving single-variable quadratic equations. By using the Blooket application as part of the cooperative learning management technique, the TGT of the students was higher than 70 percent. 2) The students' overall attitudes were high.
