Development of Information Systems for Student Services to Support Internal Quality Assurance at The Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University

Abstract

             This research aimed to (1) develop an information system for student services for internal quality assurance at the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, using the Google Sites program based on the Deming Quality Cycle (PDCA), and (2) assess student satisfaction with the developed information system. The research population comprised 4,808 first- to fifth-year students enrolled in the regular program at the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, in the academic year 2021. The sample was determined by using Taro Yamane's ready-made table. The proportion of interesting characteristics in the population was 0.5 and the confidence level was 95%, with 420 people. The research design was mixed-method. The research instruments were the information system for student services for internal quality assurance and the satisfaction assessment form for the information system for student services for internal quality assurance. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

      The results of the research found that the information system for student services for internal quality assurance at the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, had an overall quality at a good level in both parts: (1) efficiency of the information system and (2) components of the information system. Student satisfaction with the system was at a high level in all three parts: 1)information content in the information system, 2) system components, 3) usefulness of the system.
