Holistic : An Analytic, Appreciative and Applicative Study

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze, appreciate, and apply the King’s working principle in respect with holism. The methodology was the qualitative research by studying and compiling all related information from the documents and research papers relating to the working principle of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. The results were as follows: 1) from the analysis result, the meaning of “holism” according to Oxford Dictionary is “the natural tendency in considering the whole thing or being to be more than a collection of parts; 2) from the appreciative result, the holistic consideration helped the practitioners foresee all related problems, “choose the factors giving the utmost outcome” under the existing circumstances, have the comprehensive thought in solving problems, not be rush to make decision by only one direction that might cause other consequent problems later; 3) from the applicative result, if this working principle was applied, the result would be as follows: 1) to foresee the overall outcome clearly; 2) to create the factors to be consistent with the outcome; and 3) to foresee all problems and solutions all-round.
