Administrators' Competencies and Teacher Performance in Educational Institutions Under the jurisdiction of the Phetchabun Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1. to examine the competencies of school administrators under the Office of Phetchabun Primary Educational Service Area 1, 2. to investigate the teachers’ performance in schools under the Office of Phetchabun Primary Educational Service Area 1, and 3.to determine the relationship between the competencies of school administrators and the teachers’ performance in schools under the Office of Phetchabun Primary Educational Service Area 1. The sample group consisted of 302 participants. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.

              The findings revealed that, overall, the competencies of school administrators under the Office of Phetchabun Primary Educational Service Area 1 were at a high level. Similarly, the overall teachers’ performance was also at a high level. The hypothesis testing indicated that the competencies of school administrators were positively related to teachers’ performance at a statistical significance level of .05. The predictive order of the administrator competencies was as follows: communication competency, teamwork competency, planning and management competency, self-management competency, global awareness competency, and strategic action competency. The correlation coefficient was 67.90 percent.
