Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submitting articles for consideration for publication in the “Siam University Journal of Business Administration ”

Those who wish to submit articles for consideration for publication in the “Siam University Journal of Business Administration” must prepare the original article as specified, strictly adhere to the ethics of publishing works in academic journals, be responsible for the fee, and comply with the following conditions (Thai article fee is 4,000 baht per article, English article fee is 5,000 baht per article, which is a one-time payment. Approximately 1 week after registering to submit an article for consideration, the journal will send a fee invoice for you to pay by transferring money to the Bangkok Bank account, account name: Siam University, account number 005-8-05088-1, and the journal will not charge any additional fees.)

Conditions for accepting articles

1. Articles to be considered for publication must be research articles, academic articles, book reviews, or review articles in Thai or English related to business administration, management, finance, banking, marketing, economics, or accounting, and must have the article components specified by the journal on the next page.

2. Articles to be considered must not be in the process of being considered for publication or any process for publication. And when the article has been submitted to the Journal of Business Administration, Siam University, the author or the copyright holder of the article will not be able to publish the article or enter the consideration process for publication in any way until the consideration process of the Siam University Journal of Business Administration is complete.

3. The work submitted for publication will be screened (Double Blind Review) by at least 3 qualified persons in the field.

4. The published work is the copyright of the Siam University Journal of Business Administration.

5. The articles, texts, illustrations, and tables published in the journal are the personal opinions of the author. The editorial board is not responsible for anything. It is the sole responsibility of the author.

6. The manuscript must be printed in the format and font size according to the template and the reference writing format specified.

7. The editorial board reserves the right to review and edit the format of the submitted article as deemed appropriate.

Manuscript preparation instructions

Preparing a manuscript (Thai and English languages) (Start 2025)

Research article:

  • Thai manuscript: Thai abstract, English abstract, keywords, introduction, purposes of the study, literature review, conceptual framework, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, suggestions, acknowledgement (if any), and references.
  • English manuscript: Thai abstract, English abstract, keywords, introduction, purposes of the study, literature review, conceptual framework, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, suggestions, acknowledgement (if any), and references.

Academic article:

  • Thai manuscript: Thai abstract, English abstract, introduction, content, conclusion, and references.
  • English manuscript: Thai abstract, English abstract, introduction, content, conclusion, and references.

Book review: Thai manuscript: Introduction, content, and references. 

1. Articles must be printed using Microsoft Word and printed in the TH SarabunPSK font (the font size of the article will vary according to the journal’s specifications (see items 3 to 13). The length must not exceed 20 pages but not less than 8 pages of A4 paper. The margins on the left and right sides must be 1.0 cm. and the top and bottom sides must be 2.5 cm. The article must be written as a single line, in a general essay format, without dividing it into columns. The number of pages includes the text, images, tables, bibliography, and appendices.

2. The article must include a title in both Thai and English, using 18 pt. font size (bold), and centered. For Thai articles, the Thai title must be placed first. For English articles, the English title must be placed first.

3. The author’s name must be placed on the right side of the line next to the title, using 16 pt. font. Only the first name and last name must be written, without a title. If the name is in Thai, include it in English in parentheses. Then, make a footnote at the end of the first page of the article, using 14 pt. font, indicating the job title, affiliation, address, and coordinating author. and the coordinating author's email. If the job title, affiliation, address, coordinating author, and email of the coordinating author are in Thai, please include them in English in parentheses.

4. The abstract should be aligned on the left side of the line next to the author's name. The article must have an abstract in both Thai and English, approximately 200-300 words long. The Thai abstract should begin with the word Abstract, and the English abstract should begin with the word Abstract, using 18 pt. (bold) font size, and be aligned on the left. When writing the content of the abstract, start a new line, paragraph, and then start writing the content of the abstract using 16 pt. font size. The Thai article should put the Thai abstract first, followed by the English abstract. If the article is in English, put the English abstract first, and then the Thai abstract.

5. Keywords should be aligned on the left side of the line next to the abstract. The article must have keywords in both Thai and English, no more than 4 words, separated by commas. The Thai keywords should begin with Keywords, and the English keywords should begin with Keywords, using 16 pt. (bold and italic), and be aligned on the left. Then, leave a space and start writing the keywords. Using 16 pt. (italic) font size

6. Main topic Use 16 pt. (bold) font size, align left, no serial number

7. Subtopic Use 15 pt. (bold) font size, align left

8. Article content Use 16 pt. font size, if there are paragraphs, indent 0.5 cm. from the general content

9. Tables Specify the table order. Use the word Table … and specify it on the table, align it on the left, use 16 pt. font size (bold), then leave a space and write the table name using 16 pt. font size. Below the table, you may write additional explanations or indicate the source, but use 14 pt. font size, align on the left

10. Pictures or charts Specify the picture order. Use the word Picture … and specify it under the picture, align it on the left, use 16 pt. font size (bold), then leave a space and write the picture name using 16 pt. font size. You may write additional explanations or indicate the source, but start a new line. Use 14 pt font, align left

11. Page numbers should be placed at the bottom center of every page.

12. Bibliography: Start with the word Bibliography, center the page, use 16 pt font (bold). Then start writing the references on a new line, aligned to the left, and in alphabetical order. Use 14 pt font. If each reference is longer than 1 line, indent the extra line by 0.5 cm. (See how to write a reference list below.)

13. References: Use the name-year system (inserted in the text) and compile a bibliography using the American Psychological Association (APA style) format on the last page.

1. Reference by Name-Year system (inserted in the text) Indicate the author's name and the year of publication in front or behind the text to be cited, depending on the case. In the front, for example, Stevenson (2011) commented that ….. In the back, for example …... (Stevenson, 2011).

Submitting Articles
Authors can submit articles on the homepage of the journal website at https://so07.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/sujba. Go to the “Register” menu and log in to submit articles online (read the instructions from the Author’s Guide and then follow the instructions provided by the system).
