Developing Knowledge Management to be a World Class Port

Abstract

The purpose of this study are : 1) To study component of World Class Port. 2) To use SWOT analyze for prototype port to be world class port. 3) To study factor affected toward development to be world class port. This study used a specific sampling method. The samples are composed of four major groups: within the port, customers, partners and relevant government agencies. The research method is document method that are research, academic journals, books and analytical articles and qualitative research are in-depth interviews in four groups. The research tools are structured questionnaire and content analysis method

  1. The component of World Class Port are Smart Port, Green Port, Safe Port and Global Port.
  2. SWOT analyze for prototype port to be World Class Port are three ports, including Shanghai Port, have the advantages of innovation, personnel and infrastructure; Singapore Port has the advantages of duty-free port, the geographical location and maritime institutions of Singapore and Busan Port highlight the infrastructure, personnel and maritime institutions of South Korea.
  3. Knowledge Management lead to be World Class Port are Intelligent technology, intelligent data center, clean energy, zero emission, safety and accident prevention system strategy, network and customer management.
