Abstract

The objectives of this study were to study the effects of Financial Management Information System (FMIS) and knowledge and competency on efficiency of divisional budget disbursement of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Samples of 285 were drawn from operational and supervisory officers of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital using systematic sampling. Questionnaires were used for data collection. Statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, MRA and SRA. The study found that difference in gender was shown on difference in FMIS operators with difference in convenience and promptness for disbursement, difference in status with difference in transparency, difference in educational level with difference in accuracy of information and transparency, and difference in current position with difference in transparency. The findings also showed that FMIS system in three aspects and knowledge and competency of pertinent officers could not be used to predict the efficiency of divisional budget disbursement of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at a statistical significance level of 0.05.
