Abstract

Any service must be arranged in accordance with the needs of the person receiving the service, so it is very important to survey the opinions of the elderly before providing the service. Thus, this research aimed to study the level of social welfare service needs of the elderly in Makha Subdistrict, Non-Sung District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The population group used in this research was the elderly who received the elderly pension service, who were both male and female aged, living in Makha Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Non-Sung District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Several 333 people, were calculated using Yamane's formula with a discrepancy of not more than 5%. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire on the social welfare needs of the elderly in 5 areas: (1) health, (2) education, (3) recreation, (4) housing, and (5) life safety. The social welfare needs of the elderly were analyzed using mean and standard deviation statistics. The results showed that the welfare needs for the elderly were classified into 5 areas as follows: life safety was at the highest level. The housing aspect is at the highest level. Education and health were at the highest level, respectively.
