The problem of life and assets safety of tourism industry in Bangkok : foreign tourists’ perspective

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the problem of life and assets safety of tourism industry in Bangkok : foreign tourists’ perspective, and to explore  tourism behavior affecting to a attitude of problem of life and assets safety of tourism industry in Bangkok of foreign tourists’ perspective. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. The samples of this research were 400 foreign tourists in Bangkok. The statistics used in data analysis composed of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. T-test, and One-way ANOVA at statistical significance of .05 were used for hypothesis test.

            The result showed that 1) overall, most of foreign who answer the questionnaires have a high level of attitude on problem of life and assets safety of tourism industry in Bangkok. When considered individually, it was found that all 6 issues are at a high level in descending order as follows Infectious diseases, environmental, safety management of government agencies in the tourism sector, transportation, safety management of private agencies and crime, respectively. And 2) hypothesis testing showed that foreign tourists with different reasons for choosing Bangkok for tourism, source of information on tourism in Bangkok, traveled time, daily travel expenses, transportation vehicles, accommodation type, travel style, And traveling experience in to Bangkok were significantly related to attitude on problem of life and assets safety of tourism industry in Bangkok at the .05 level.
