The Development of Electronic Media Affecting the Knowledge of Official Correspondence Writing of Officers in Pathum Thani Province

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develop electronic media that affect the knowledge of official correspondence writing of officers in Pathum Thani Province. The research instruments included electronic media lessons on government correspondence writing, a test to assess the knowledge about government correspondence writing, a quality assessment form for the electronic media lessons, and a questionnaire to ask for opinions of the government officers towards the electronic media learning. Based on a comparison of learning achievement scores by using electronic media on government correspondence writing, before and after the training course, it was found that the posttest scores were significantly higher than the pretest scores. As for the opinions of the officers towards the use of electronic media on government correspondence writing, the officers had positive opinions towards the electronic media in both overall and each aspect. Regarding the aspects, learners’ interests in the electronic media, the content, and the design of the media were all at a high level. Furthermore, the researcher has distributed the electronic media to various government agencies, and they have been used for teaching and learning in the Thai Language for Communication course.
