Abstract

Abstract

This article investigated the promotion of political culture to study the relationship between people and political institutions and to develop a democratic political model in Thai society. Academic documents and textbooks related to the promotion of political culture were used as the data resources for developing Thai democratic system through transferring process, idea cultivating, ideology, and shared beliefs in the particular community. The results revealed that the main factors of promoting political culture in a democratic society were 1) election, 2) being political party members and election campaign staff, 3) being community key persons, 4) contacting with government institutions, 5) being protestors and 6) being political journalists.
